Why I'm Starting a Blog...

It is June 26, 2014, and I am officially out of school for the summer since June 13th. Our first week out, we were all sick... but even with losing a week of our summer break due to our illness plagued household, we have already done so much! I am having the most fantastic time being home with my two beautiful babies, and exploring all the amazing things to do with them in our area. I had no idea with a little research how much fun stuff there is to do around here with your children that costs next to nothing. We really kicked off our summer several weeks ago.  I was able to get a free season's pass to Sesame Place, and since both babies are under two they are also free. We had an amazing time and have gone twice now, with plans to visit again at least a couple more times this summer. Last week we enjoyed Palmer Square in Princeton's Summer Block Party! They closed off the square and had a huge block set up, and train set in the middle of the street, food, wine, live music, bubble machines, and an outdoor showing of Finding Nemo on their big screen. It was so much fun.  We enjoyed visiting with the animals at Thompson Park in Monroe, The St. Gregory's carnival (we could see the fireworks from our house!), have checked out several playgrounds, outdoor and indoor, gone to the pool, did outside water play, and other library children's events. Yesterday Princeton Public Library celebrated Truck day with stories about construction vehicles, and then we were able to go outside to see them. When looking back on all of this stuff, I decided I wanted to blog because I wanted to document all of the fun experiences we've had. I want to look back and remember each day, the big trips, the little trips, and even the days we spent home snuggling sick. It goes so fast and I just don't want to not remember things.
